Irrevocable = you can't take it back, or "revoke" it. It's usually used with respect to actions or statements. A really literal example: Burning down a house is irrevocable because there is no way you can un-burn the house. If something is "fixed" it is unchanging. A fixed point. A fixed number of people / apples / cars / dollars. Fixed in place. You wouldn't say "Apple released an irrevocable number of iPhones on the first day of sale."
