意味に違いはありません。
日常生活では、たいきん、の方がよく使うかもしれません。

大金➕持ち、で富豪と同じ意味になります。おおがね単体で使うことはありません。

お金の量が多いという意味であれば、ほとんどの場合は「たいきん」を使います。
「おおがね」は固有名詞として使われる方が多いと思います(大金駅、大金さんなど)。
「大金持ち」もよく使いますが、これは「大+金持ち」だと思います。
