Question about Norwegian (bokmal)

**** "Huset er slikt/sånt." ? *******

According to my Norwegian grammar book,

" Slik(t)/sånn/sånt can also be used adjectivally:
EX)
et slikt/sånt hus (such a house)
en slik/sånn bil (such a car)

WRONG:
Huset er slikt/sånt.

CORRECT:
Huset er slikt/sånn. (ie. the house is painted, built etc)"

Why can NOT one use "Huset er slikt/sånt." ?
The book has no explanation why this expression is wrong....
