Hi, I was asked to translate the following text, a part of the conversation between a pharmacist and a patient.
"I feel really frustrated when I have trouble explaining to you how to properly take your medicine. You seem to feel that this is your wife’s responsibility more than your own. I would like to try again. When you do this,I feel like I really don’t want you to leave the pharmacy until I can hear some personal commitment from you."
The part which starts with "I would like to..." till the end does not sound natural to me or at least I do not understand what these sentence are trying to say. Can anyone please help me understand this part? Thank you.

I guess the pharmacist is arguing with the customer, the husband, about how to take the medicine. I guess what the pharmacy should have said to the customer should be like "I'm gonna say this again. If you're going to continue being an idiot like that, I'm not gonna let you leave this store with out hearing from you telling me that you understand part by part, word by word how to take your medicine. Okay sir?" Maybe something like that.

@Nangbalisong Do you know what "this" in "when you do this" literally mean?

If there was a video of the two talking then we could see what is this "this" the pharmacy was telling to the customer. We can only guess as the sentence in a way is really not complete. Maybe the "this" was the customer being annoying or was not listening properly to the instructions about the medicine. Like I said we can only guess what is that "this" about.
