Earn is to work for something
Win is to compete and come out victorious
Gain is to get something beneficial
I won a gift card for 100 dollars.
I hope your team wins.
I earned my degree with hard work.
I hope there something to gain by me participating.
Why would I do that if I don’t gain anything.

Earn: You need to add in some effort to get the reward / achieve a final goal.
Eg: You need to work to earn money.
Win: The event of being rewarded the top/1st/best.
Eg: If you win the race, you'll be famous.
Gain: Obtain something
Eg: Tom gained his wealth from his father.
