The city of Rotterdam is famous for its buildings showing modern architecture. Furthermore, the city is known for its big sea port. It is a gateway to Europe. Ocean cargo vessels dock at Rotterdam, where their freight is usually carried forward by boat, train or lorry to the mainland of Europe.
