Hey guys! Tell me a little about Edmonton, AB, Canada. A just interesting in that place, is so beautiful. I've got plans to live and study in there.

My sister lived there for a few years.
Extremely cold in winter. One of the 'worst' in Canada in that sense.
Otherwise nice enough, relatively small and isolated though. I wouldn't call it 'so beautiful', I'd say it's pretty average. There are not mountains all around as in Vancouver or ocean as in Victoria.
Economy overly tied to oil prices and in the crapper right now. They were flying high a few years ago. Housing prices are probably OK for this reason.
Former home of the world's largest shopping mall. It's still there but since then larger ones have been built.

Edmonton is pretty if you pavement. It's not that isolated. It's surrounded by little towns. Has one of the largest malls in the world, west Ed. Our economy runs of off oil and beef. Our gst is the lowest in Canada at 5%. We don't have a provincial tax, as far as I know. Lots of different cultures and foods
