I think it depends on the situation. If you are upset at someone I would say ‘get off me’

It’s not weird. Both are correct. Actually, GET OFF OF ME is grammatically incorrect. However, more native speakers use this instead.

I feel like ‘get of off me’ is a little more polite sounding and ‘get off me’ is more informal.
