Depends on the company I guess. N2 minimum. N1 would be highly beneficial though.

To reach interviews N2 is a must. I don't mean as long as you have N2 you can pass the document screening though (they see everything in your resume).
I've had interviews with tons of foreigners with N1 and 95% of them failed because of their language skill. They couldn't even catch up with the conversation about their fields and business in natural speed. Even if you pass N1 it doesn't mean you are at business level. Passing JLPT is necessary to pass the document screening, but it's not enough.
