we also call stars "estrelya" but it is on advanced tagalog

Estrelya/estrella nakuha natin sa mga kastila. ang spanish kasi ng star ay estrella.

We always use 'bituin' tho. Some refers to 'tala' as the brightest star in the nightsky.
