I believe that the state can’t have a minimum wage less than something around $7.50 but most states pay more than that as a minimum wage. In Massachusetts it’s $ 11 an hour now. But some jobs like waiters usually get paid less than 11$ an hour and rely more on tips (I believe)
Colorado’s minimum wage is $9.30 and we are increasing it to $12 by 2020. That scares me. I don’t know what that is going to do for cost of living. It has already become expensive to live here since 2012.
I have been a registered nurse since 2008 and make a little over $30 an hour.
