A lot of air conditioner and fans. Rarely would anyone be dressed in a Santa costume because it’s sooooo hot. Also because of how hot it is, the food is very different. Instead of a big roast my family always has cold ham, cold chicken, prawns (shrimp) and a variety of cold salads. Basically everything is dictated by the weather. The one thing though is even though it’s hot. Some of us still will kick an AFL (Australian Football League) ball around or play a small version of cricket.
@Fadi2 I live in Canberra but have extended family in Brisbane so my family flew up to Brisbane on Christmas Day. We had lunch at my grandparents house with my Aunty, uncle and cousin on my mum’s side. AFL season happens in winter, it start in March and goes on til September.
@Fadi2 yeah, Christmas is great. I’m trying to learn Korean. My native language is English. I have done about 4 years of learning Italian because it was mandatory in school but we didn’t really have any good teachers so I lost interest in it so when I had the chance to drop it, I did.
@alexmossytree I came nearly one year and half to Australia, I have been studying English and now I am just studying in my home to be ready for next year, just the speaking is more difficult than writing and reading because it is a bit hard to make friends to speak English with
@Fadi2 I have to study Religion, English, Maths, Science, History and PE. At my school we can elect three other subjects. My electives are Drama, Civics and Citizenship and Multimedia. I don’t know how it is where you are, in America you finish your grade half way through the war. Here in Australia we have finished our grade and will be going into the next grade next year. I will be doing Drama, Photography and Business and Economics.
@Fadi2 I could try! I don’t know how good I’d be. I don’t have to go back to school for another month so I’ll have quite a bit of free time. I study Christianity at my school because it’s a Catholic school so it’s mandatory.
@alexmossytree thank you, I also sometimes study Bible at home, I studied a bit in my country and I wanna read the Bible in English to Learn. Do you have different apps that is easy to chat? Because here you always have to scroll down. I have Instagram, HelloTalk, Facebook and skype. I don’t mind to download other app that you like to use
