In big cities, yes there are options. In the more country-side areas they are almost non existent.

@pan5 I'm afraid to say, that's not the case. HiNative thinks it should suggest certain threads to it's customers by default, when on phone.
To me, I even did what Hachiko said before I got this notification, but it didn't prevent this from showing up.
It seems like there is a person picking interesting topics and is sending notifications.
To clarify I think this question is interesting, but I understand if someone does not wish to be notified.

@Fighter19 thanks a lot. I guess that we want not to notify , not because we don’t want it but because we cannot understand why such a old topic is raised. HiNative’s policy maybe now a little confused, it’ll be adjusted soon (I hope ).

When you go to the Notifications page and tap on the gear icon you will be taken to the notifications settings. Maybe if you disable the last position on the list you won’t get any random notification to old question... Let’s have a try 😀
