Sure. Everyone has His own i terpretation. it is one of those complex sentences that even aometimes no ones gets in agreement because they are right. But to me when I translated into Spanish, has to have. the most proper meaning. So, dont worry... I once met this Dean from a College in Alabama and A teacher. Same here when I was in college thats a question that might bring more debate. So, unless you want to have a Master or PHD in Law and crime scenne you will be fine, because a little comma will make the difference. Besides, even though teachers sound smart notcall are smart. There is a test you have to past and most people can pass the test, but not everyone has talent to express, communicate and ensable a class and that is the only difference between teacher's. So don't worry.

This is just a matter of sentence structure. Both are correct, but sound different. These may actually be different types of past tense, but they both mean the same thing and are very interchangeable in my opinion.
