I have a sports day ; an indefinite/ definite article has to be placed in context

you don't need an article ("I have basketball practice" sounds fine...). I just don't know what a sports day is. are you playing or watching? is it personal or a school event etc?
我没听过 sports day 这个词,就是什么东西?
