Question about Japanese

What does あの人あぶないひとだなって思った mean?

Context: A girl is talking to her brother about a person they just met. She seems disturbed. The brother asks her what is wrong.

I think it means:
"I think that person is a dangerous person."

I'm confused by: なって.

Is なって the "te" form of なる?
Is it the な particle, followed by って?
Usually I see the と particle before おもう, so I wondered it って might be a slangy form meaning the same.
