Question about English (US)

(No.42) On the previous day, Tommy suggested May and he go to New York together and May asked him to let her sleep on it.

May: So, have you got your flight ticket to New York?
Tommy: No, not yet.
May: Okay. What about going to a travel agency together then?
Tommy: Wow, you mean you're gonna come with me?
May: Yup. I've already fully enjoyed my stay in India, and I feel like moving to a new place that is very different from here. New York is a very good destination for me, too.
Tommy: That's so good to hear! Basically I like traveling by myself. But we've happened to stay here together for the last 10 days and I found it's also much fun to travel with good company.
May: Makes two of us.

"different from here"... I think this is grammatically incorrect (since "here" is not a noun), but how can I say it right?
And how can I make this dialogue more natural and casual? I'd appreciate any advice!
Does this sound natural?

Thank you for reading!^^
