In 15century, Japan was separated into many countries because of samurai warriors' battles.
Many leading warriors wanted to be a king.
In 16 century, guns and Christianity were introduced.

@LachlanH2018 I suggest you buy a book about Japan's history. Japan has evolved in an atipical way due to the fact that it is an archipelago (not just because of that, but its situation definitely influenced the way it evolved through centuries). Its history is very interesting and different from what we have known in other parts of the world. You should really have a look at Japan's history has a whole and not just focus on a specific period of time.
