@hijtb Exactamente que sería einen en esa oración? Al parecer no es un artículo indefinido. Cual sería el equivalente en inglés?

No es "einen", es "die einen", describe parte de un grupo. En inglés sería "some", igual que en español.
Die einen sagen ja, die anderen sagen nein. - Some say yes, others say no. - Algunos dicen que sí, los otros/demás dicen que no.

@hijtb Excelente, ya entiendo. Si quisiera decir "Some people say yes while others say no" Como sería? Podría "Irgendeine Menschen sagen ja, während andere nein sagen"?

Debería mencionar que también vale poner "die einen" y "die anderen" en mayúscula "die Einen/Anderen", aunque el Duden recomienda ponerlas generalmente en minúscula.

@hijtb Gracias por la ayuda. Aún estoy un poco confuso sobre el uso de "irgendein" y sus otras formas, podríamos decir que se usa para decir "some person" y cosa por el estilo? Ejemplo: Irgendein Mann ist gekommen, um dich zu besuchen" Así estaría bien?

Sí, pero hay más expresiones y palabras que se traducen así. Es natural que estás un poco confundido.
"Ejemplo: Irgendein Mann ist gekommen, um dich zu besuchen" Así estaría bien?"
Sin contexto debo decir que sí.

@hijtb Jejeje, una pregunta Irgend solo tiene la misma función que Irgendein? Por qué pusiste "so ein" después de Irgend? Es obligatorio que se diga así? debe ser "Irgend so ein etc"?

No, no es obligatorio y la diferencia entre "irgendein" y "irgend so ein" es muy pequeño. Lo hice porque la oración que poniste es una frase muy genérica y común en las series de crimen y por lo tanto de inmediato tenía algunas escenas específicas en mente.
Y no se puede poner solo "Irgend", necesita "ein/eine/einer/wer ...".
Pero como has visto, en algunas circunstancias se puede separar las palabras.

@hijtb Muchas gracias por la explicación. Por cierto cuando dijiste "pequeño" debiste haber dicho "pequeña" porque "diferencia" es femenino. También "poniste" no está bien dicho, debes decir "pusiste", me imagino que ese verbo le cuesta trabajo a los que aprenden español ya que es un verbo irregular. Espero que no te molestes en recibir correcciones :P.

De hecho, estoy familiarizado con la conjugación de "poner" (como se puede ver en una de mis respuestas más arriba) y algunos otros verbos irregulares, pero cuanto más tarde se hace, peor se vuelve mi español y el número de los errores sencillos se aumenta drásticamente.
En este momento, lo que me causa los problemas más graves es el subjuntivo. También tengo la sensación de que mi vocabulario es demasiado pequeño y todavía tengo problemas con por/para y, en un grado menor, con ser/estar.
A fin de cuentas, sin embargo, debo decir que mi español se ha mejorado mucho en los últimos seis meses y tengo la esperanza de que algún día lograré salir del "infierno intermedio" (intermediate hell).
