Question about English (UK)

Hi, I really need your help. I take part in a contest. I have to send my essey about why I'm proud to live in my country. It's not big, please, check and say what's wrong with the text. I'll be very grateful.

A motherland it’s not just a place where you were born. It’s a spirit which goes with you hand in hand for the entire life, sustains you during the most challenging ordeals and makes you create, fight, move forward
For me such a native land is Ukraine. I can proudly say that I’ve been living here for 15 years and have never got ashamed of it. For me being a Ukrainian means preserving and maintaining cultural values, showing respect for my roots and appreciating every inch of the dear land. All of us have explicit obligations toward our country, which lie in
support, love and loyalty.
What I particularly take pride in is our history. Profound, sublime, withstanding the onslaught of hostile invaders, Ukraine deserves genuine astonishment. Our ancestors fought with all their bravery so we could call ourselves Ukrainians. What amazes me even more is the ethnic diversity of the country. Crimean Tatars, the Polish, Montenegrins, Moldovans, the Jewish, Armenians, Bulgarians - all of them established various diasporas on the territory of Ukraine and made distinctive contributions to Ukrainian culture.
In summary, I’d like to say that the homeland is one of the most beloved and precious things in my life, which I wouldn’t substitute with any other.
