Uitmaken: 1. To break up with someone 2. To form something, to make up (a company is made up out of....) 3. To decide "Dat maak ik zelf wel uit": I will decide that for myself (and your opinion isn't needed, I'll see it for myself) 4. To mean/care something: Negative: "Dat maakt hem toch niet uit": he doesn't care anyway. Positive: "(Het) maakt niet uit (hoor)!" With a smile, literally means "it doesn't matter" but we mean it as "I didn't mind going through that trouble for you, I'm okay with it~" 5. To swear at someone "Hij maakte me uit voor rotte vis": (literally) he called me (swore at me) that I was rotten fish: he called me stuff you should never call someone.
Uitdoen: 1. To take off one's clothes (ik doe mijn kleren uit): I take off my clothes 2. To turn something off, to die out (lights, phone, etc. not usable with people!) 3. To put out (a fire for example, not used with other stuff like for example putting out information)
