All of them are quite sudden, though
We usually use startled in a possibly dangerous situation and amazed and astonished in a possibly fun/ exciting situation!
I was amazed/astonished when I got a perfect score.
I was startled when I saw the snake.
(If you used amazed here, it would mean seeing a snake is a fun situation/ it was exciting)
