Question about English (UK)

‎When do i have to use "who" and when it's "whom"? My doubt comes up when i was trying to say: «Luis was introduced to my father by someone else. But we don't know by __» (fill the blank), is It "by whom"? I'd appreciate a detailed explanation and some other examples and exceptions, if there are any.

Don't worry about grammar and syntax concepts. If you can use them, use them (e.g. "objects", "subjects", "tenses"); it would be better that way.

One more thing, feel free of correcting my english whenever you see a mistake. I'd appreciate some feedback.
