Question about Japanese

Please show me example sentences with ナイフ/包丁(ほうちょう)
ハズバンド/主人
ワイフ/妻
.
Tell me as many daily expressions as possible.

Hi! Can I ask you a question abot Japanese language? It really puzzles me.
If we take the word "knife", for example, the dictionary gives me ナイフ and 包丁 (ほうちょう). For husband again, eigo and nihongo : ハズバンド and 主人. What's the difference between them? Are they the same and I can use either in any context?
Like, I can understand the necessity of コーヒー, because there was no koffee in Japan before, but surely you have knives and husbands, so why borrow an english word too?
