Maybe you could say:
‘The restaurant gives away many freebies.’
I’ve heard and used the term ‘freebies’ more often and it has the same meaning as complimentary but it’s totally up to you :)

I haven’t seen ’comps’ as a shortcut for ‘complementary’ before but I guess it’s still okay to use 👍
