A: Some people might disagree, but they can mean the same thing to me, it really depends.

Some people might say, an exam is more serious than a test. For example, in America, before students take their Summer/Winter break from College/University, they take their final exams (or "finals" many people say). You may take many tests when you are in college/university, but the final exams are what matter the most. There are also midterm exams, which are exams that happen in the middle of the semester. Like final exams, midterm exams (or "midterms" many people say) are also usually worth more points than a standard test.

Q: exam と test はどう違いますか?
A: Yes, that's right too! That's what I mean about the two words meaning almost the same thing - they're so similar.
Q: I'm having/taking an exam this Saturday と I have an exam this Saturday はどう違いますか?
A: They are both the same thing. The second one is however more commonly used.

Dear Zack
Thanks for your e-mail. I've been doing so well. I'm happy that your family get a new pet. I'm sorry to hear that news. That problem happens in Japan too. Some people abandon their pets. To prevent this, there some laws in Japan. The people who abandon their pats will be punished if they are found out to be a previous pet owner.

As for that matter, I don't think many Japanese adopt animals that are kept in shelters. As the first paragraph, more and more people adopt their pets inside of their apartments or condominiums. That's why I don't think it's trend to keep their pets in shelters.

First of all, amazing job! You're English is superb!

I just want to explain that a shelter is a place to adopt animals from. When you adopt an animal, you take it home to live with you. So your last answer doesn't make sense because you didn't understand the question.

And がんばれ👍 ☺️

Dear Cindy
Thanks for the e-mail.
I think retirement homes are a good idea because it is convenient for elderly people to live there. For example, they can buy things without going shopping. It is a really tough for elderly people to go shopping by theirselves. The stuffs in the retirement homes can do it instead of them.
I think the government should make new low, which give more money to the people who has children. Then, they can afford to raise their children.
I think the children who don't have brothers or sisters could be spoiled because their parents take care them too much. Their children think they can buy whatever they want if their parents allow to buy it. These children could be selfish. If they depend on their parents too much, provably they can't live themselves.
I hope my answers help.

A: Dear Cindy,

Thank you for your e-mail! I'm doing fine how about you?

I'm happy to hear that your grandfather likes his new home. I think retirement homes are a good idea because it's convenient for elderly people. They receive the help and care they deserve.

I also read a article about that once. My opinion is that if the Japanese government gave more money to the families with more than one child to provide for, there would be more households in Japan with three or four children instead of one.

That's true. If parents can afford all of the things they want, why not? If it makes them happy but I must also say that some children turn out very selfish and it's not always good to get everything you want from your parents. It will be hard for that child to start it's own life once by working and earning it's own money. That's how I think about it.

I hope this will help you a bit. Good luck on your Exam! I hope you pass.
Q: I'm not confident to pass the exam. この表現は自然ですか?

A: 1. Either you use "a student" or students as it is plural, "the" is not needed as it is to indicate someone specific

2. In the text it is written "Is this a good rule?" Singular. So the answer should be singular.

3. I think it is better to use other than as it indicates you learn not only school subjects but other things too.

4. Live BY themselves

5. Although correct, i think it would be better if you specify WHY he needs to learn the program itself.
