Q:
Hello!
I'm translating a sermon in Korean to English, and there appears an expression '하나님의 몸 된 성전,' which means 'God's body, which is the temple.'
Bible verses.
Colossians 1:24 (KJV) Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Colossians 1:24 (NLT) I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am participating in the sufferings of Christ that continue for his body, the church.
Colossians 1:24 (RSV) Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,
So, I found the Bible verse and I think I can change them into like,
"God's body, which is the temple,'
'God's body, that is, the temple,'
and 'God's body, the temple.'
And I googled it and found 'God's body temple.'
Which do you like most? haha
For translation the shortest is the best.
But I can't be sure on my own. hahahaha
And the sermon talks about people who will be God's body, the temple. Then do I have to use plural like 'bodies and temples' or just use 'body' because we're one body of God?
