ちかうんだ

I'm sorry I can't write it with kanji. I think it's the past tense of a verb. とはどういう意味ですか?

誓うんだ
It is not the past tese of a verb.

誓うんだ or 違うんだ in Kanji?
誓うんだ is ち「か」うんだ in hiragana
違うんだ is ち「が」うんだ in hiragana

If that’s 誓うんだ, that means swear or promise.
If that’s 違うんだ, that means wrong.
Both are not the past tense of verb.

Like... when someone cheating on you, but that guy want to say some excuses, the guy will say ちがうんだ（that’s wrong, that’s not looks like!）. Then you allows the guy and you will say もう浮気しないとちかうんだ（promise me you will never cheat on you）.

@Omusubionogiri it's the first one! So if the sentence say "きみ に ちかうんだ" this means "I promise you", doesn't it?
