Hi! is it correct to use the phrase "I used to dislike"?

This is the sentence:
At school I used to dislike the teacher because he always picked on me.

The book that I have mark "At school I disliked..." as the correct one.

But I thing both are correct. は 英語 (イギリス) で何と言いますか？

The problem with the first one is that it suggests that at some point later you changed your opinion and liked the teacher. The second one means that you never changed your opinion.
