Then we get this sentence. Does "二人“ in this case mean "those two?" Or am I to read further and get "二人はどちらの" to get "which two people," which obviously means "the established two?" Just trying to understand if the "どちらの” is part of letting us know which two we're talking about, or if it's instead being used for something else in the sentence.

Question 2: In a previous sentence, we get this: おれの方が強い, which means "I'm stronger." The 方が is "better" and 強い means strong. Giving us "better strong," aka stronger.

But in the sentence at the top, we drop the "方が."

But the translation is which "power" (力) is stronger (方が強い). To me, the sentence at the top of my post with out the "方が" reads "which power is strong." Without the "方が" we no longer have the word "stronger."

I'm not sure if what I said makes sense, but please ask questions if I said anything confusing. Like I said, this is my first shot at reading, so lots doesn't make sense.

First of all, the sentence is missing “い”
It should be 強いかで, not 強かで

二人はどちらの力が強いかでケンカをしているようです

二人 is those two
どちらの力is either power of the two

Regarding 方が, You can say 
どちらの力の方が強いか (Which power is stronger) and this is a good sentence.

But also you can say
どちらの力が強いか
Even  if you omit の方が, we understand the meaning and it sounds natural too.

You can use どちら (either one, between two of them) like this.
どちらが良い？ which is better for you?
どちらが正しいか？　which is correct?

First I think that the literal translation of the original Japanese is " Two boys seem to be arguing which one's power is stronger than the other."
I would write the sentence like 「二人は、"どちらの力が強いか"でケンカをしているようです。」
二人　in the original Japanese only means " two boys".  You should consider the word ”どちらの" with ”力".
Second I think "方が" is hidden in the original sentence like "二人は、どちらのほうの力が強いかでけんかをしているようだ” or ”二人は、どちらの力のほうが強いかでけんかをしているようだ"
And as you said, the original sentence used the word "力" so "I'm stronger" is not a very good translation. "I'm stronger " could means not only the power but the fighting or even a tolerance for alcohol.

As you said "二人はどちらの力が強いかでケンカをしているようです" could mean 
" Two boys seem to be arguing which one's power is stronger than the other."  
OR 
"Two boys seem to be arguing which power is stronger than others( is the strongest).

Both of them could be OK. It depends on the context.
Generally, I imagen the first translation in English, but in the special situation like those two boys are playing a video game and they are arguing which ability to be chosen so that they can defeat enemies, I would consider the original sentence to be the second one.
