walk into one's fist とはどういう意味ですか?

In the following sentence, what does “walk into one's fist”mean?
“I walked into King’s fist. Man, what you think happened? They jumped me.”
This is one scene of a gang novel. The speaker of this line is a gang member and King is a gang boss. He stole money from King and one of his friends hid him from King. One day he disappeared from his friend's house. The friend searched him and found him in King's house. He was lying on the floor bleeding. His friend found him and asked him,"What's happened?" He answered as above.

His friend sees him lying on the floor bleeding, and asks him "What's happened?"

It's very obvious what's happened, so the speaker responds sarcastically that he literally walked into King's fist. Hence, the follow up of "Man, what do you think happened?"

It is then revealed that what actually happened is that he got jumped.

So, it is likely the speaker went outside and ended up running into King's gang members and got "jumped" or beaten up.
