I decided to forbid myself to watch TV more than an hour a day. この表現は自然ですか？

If it's wrong, could you please correct it?
I'd like to know my mistakes even if they are small things.

hmm im confused a little bit did you mean u want to watch tv more than an hour or less than an hour everyday?

I've decided to watch tv no more than an hour everyday

sounding natural and grammatically correct sometimes can be confusing, the OP is correct in syntax but doesn't sound natural, imo. my advice is to shorten as much as u can but still get your message across unless you're writing a paper and needed the word count 😅

Acctually, I used "forbid" on purpse to memorize.

if the word forbid really needs to be there then i suggest
"i forbid myself to watch tv no more than an hour a day"
