Non diciamo "vorrei due pani", ancorché corretto, ma "vorrei due michette, due bastoni, due filoncini, due arabi, due biove, due ciabatte, due forme…"

poi, ripeto, nella domanda posta da Dennis di solito usiamo il nome della forma specifica che vogliamo.
@dennis123haha ma abiti in Toscana? perché hai scritto "come fo a chiedere", che è toscano. Ma lì, mi sembra di ricordare, la parola "pani" si usa molto più frequentemente rispetto al resto d'Italia, o no? Qualche utente toscanaccio mi confermi o mi sconfessi...

"Pani". Per il tipo al latte, usa dirsi ad es. "panini". "Panetti" si riferisce invece a due o più confezioni di burro.
Com'è stato già scritto, li si chiama direttamente per nome: due ciabattine, due rosette, due lingotti, ecc. Per la pizza: un pezzo o più pezzi di p., un chilo o due di p. Generalmente, per il pane casereccio, si indica anche la quantità: mezzo filone di Lariano, et similes.
Es.: "Salve, vorrei del pane bianco/scuro" - "Che le do?" - "Mi dia gentilmente due azimi, tre spighette, mezzo chilo di pizza bianca e quel filone di Altamura. Grazie" - "Ecco a Lei".
