The first has correct grammar. It is speaking about the past. The second sentence is not correct and it is about the future. "The injury will heal soon"

"Quickly" is used to describe the speed of progress (speed of the injury healing). "Soon" is used to describe how much time has elapsed/will elapse before something happens (injury heals). Thus, logically, these two expressions are the same, since speed affects time. However, "soon" is more likely to be used in the future ("something will happen soon"), so in this case, "quickly" sounds more natural.
