Everyone needs to study Swedish by law, because it's an official language in Finland. However an overwhelming majority takes English as their first foreign language from 3rd grade onwards.
According to the ministry of education the most studied non native languages in junior high schools are:
1. English
2. Swedish
3. German
4. Finnish
5. French
6. Russian
7. Latin
And the rest in the statistic are just "other language".
I was quite surprised that Latin is more popular than Spanish.
Edit: or looking more closely, they just for some reason had Latin with it's 0,2% as a separate category.
