「私は教師です。」を使うのが良いですね。生徒など他の人からは「先生」と呼ばれますが、自分のことを言う時は「教師」と言う方がいいと思います。

「私は教師です。」would be more natural but both is OK.
The word 先生 includes the nuance that he or she is the person to be honored, so using 先生 to show oneself is a bit unnatural.
On the other hand, there is a case that 「私は先生です」is the better.
Tiny children usually don't know the word 教師 because it's formal word.
So explaining to children, 「私は先生です」 would be the better.
