Well funny is something that makes you or someone laugh while amusing is more of a satisfaction type of thing. For example if I were to say "I found that joke funny" it made me laugh but if I were to say "I found that joke amusing" I was satisfied by what the joke made me do like laugh or cringe if the joke was bad.
(Sorry if that didn't help. It's hard to explain this type of thing since they're pretty similar"
