Det avhenger nok litt av situasjonen, men すごいね!på japansk.

@Dvergschnauzer Jeg har alltid vært under inntrykket av at すごい betegnet alltid noe bra eller fantastisk. Funker dette ordet egentlig slik som med やばい og dens ulike betydninger avhenging av kontekst?

Hvis noen japanere ikke snakker engelsk i hele det tatt, så kan det hende at denne personen skal få et svar om at "Du er dum!" istedenfor "Jøss! Kjempebra!" eller slik, fordi mange ikke vet at "crazy" kan brukes som et kompliment også.
For eksempel,
Vi kan bruke på denne måten på japansk også :
Bjørn : Jeg løper 15 kilometer før jobb hver torsdag.
Bjørn: わたしは、まいしゅう もくようび、 しごとの まえに、15km はしっています。
Kine: Jøss, du er gæærn! Det hadde ikke jeg orket!
Kine: えっ?!まじで? / えっ?! そうなの?! わたしには むり!
Men da er det allerede en sammenheng/kontekst. Hvis dere hadde gått til en japaner som dere ikke kjenner, og sagt "You are crazy!", så tror jeg at de hadde blitt litt sure.
