"If only" doesn't exist in Spanish or if it does, it isn't used.
The literal translation is "si solo", which is used in other contexts, because it actually means "if I only" (or other pronouns).
Si solo tuviera un hijo estaría triste
-> If I only had one son I would be sad
So for "if only" we would use "ojalá", which does need the subjunctive.
