まず「あたし」は避けるべき言い方で、仮に使ってしまうとあまり教養がないように思われかねません。正しくは「わたし」です。
「私」は読み方が2通りあります。１つが「わたくし」で、男女共に使えて非常に丁寧で上品な響きがあります。もう一つは「わたし」で、主に女性が使用する（おそらく最も一般的な）一人称です。友達・目上の人問わず使えます。
「俺」は主に男性が使用する、もっとも一般的な一人称ですが、目上の人との会話で使うことは推奨されません。目上の人との会話では「僕」、友人などとの会話では「俺」、と使い分ける人が多いです。
「僕」は主に男性が使用する一人称です。上記のようにフォーマルな場面でも問題なく使用でき、且つ友人との会話で使用しても全く堅苦しい感じもありません。（「わたし」と同じような位置付けの言葉です）
「俺」のほうが男らしい響きがあるからか、「俺」を好んで使う男性が多いように思います。
