I don't live in Helsinki, so I don't have any inside tips but most sports stores and department stores carry a wide selection of warm handwear. They can also likely advise you on getting the proper sort of glove for your intended use.

Price wise, you can get simple woolen ones for as low as 10€ but coated water- and windproof sports gloves or mittens will run you something like 30-60€. There are ones that cost over a hundred euros but I wouldn't advice getting those unless you're planning to go solo skiing, hiking or mountain climbing. If you want to do something like renting a snowmobile, the proper clothes are usually provided by the rental company.
