Which is correct? My book says that the kanji is 冷やす the one in the picture, yet my keyboard and dictionary shows the kanji as this 冷。which is correct or more commonly used?
In your textbook of the image, descriptions of kanji "冷" are all correct....

It is the difference of the font. They are the same kanji.

that depend on the font. マ is font for hand writing, 冷 is one for printing.
