"Allá" is more common in Latin America. Unlike "allí", "allá" can easily express degrees (e.g. más allá, muy allá, un poco menos allá...), it tends to refer to areas rather than specific points in space and it is more used with verbs of motion: "Voy para allá".

Por favor, qué significan "más allá" y "muy allá"?
- Spanish (Spain)

más allá = further away/over
muy allá = a lot further (also, there is the idiomatic "no muy allá", which means "not very well")

So "allá" means "away" in your example. Does it also mean "there" in "Voy para allá"?
