Normalmente si usa Articolo + Possessivo + Nome.
Il suo zaino, La sua macchina, Il suo cane
Senza articolo è più raro e legato a casi particolari.
Ad esempio dirai "suo padre, sua madre e suo fratello" ma "il suo papà, la sua mamma, i suoi fratelli".
Nel dubbio usa sempre IL SUO!
