Question about English (UK)
I had to get the passport as soon as possible, because I should go through the procedure for going to America. But on that particular day, I had so many things to do at school. Since I had to leave school early, I have to do these tasks today. Does this sound natural?

I don't understand
I'm not sure what you mean, I'm afraid... Does the person speaking have the passport now, or do they still need to get it? The use of 'should' is also confusing. Is the passport required for the procedure (visa?)? Is it that they need to complete the procedure?
Which day did they have to leave school early - was it that particular day, or is it today?
I'm sorry, I'm just struggling to understand what was meant.
