"Temporary" refers to something that will last a short time and/or replace the normal/default thing.
Ex.
"This is a temporary solution" = this solution will last until the real solution is made.
"Tentative" refers to something which is not certain or done with hesitation.
Ex.
"The child took tentative steps"
"Interim" is a very rare noun or an adjective which means the same as "meanwhile".
Ex.
"In the interim, I will keep my fingers crossed"
