omg we such an amazing variety of festivals here in brazil, each region has it's own important ones. mainly everybody agree's that carnaval (carnival) is the most import, but we also have bumba meu boi (this one is about bringing a bull back to life), corpus christi (which is part of easter festivities), festa junina/julina (june/july festival where we eat a lot of food made out of corn and cassava)

there is so much more!! we have also maracatu in the northern region of the country, virada cultural in são paulo (something like a cultural festival in a more modern way), independence day, children's day (and together "nossa senhora de aparecida" 's day)

there are some rodeos around the country too, Jaguariúna's being the most important of them all

@ma2498 Festa Junina means June Party literally. it's a hard thing to explain because it is very unique but I'll try. It is a celebration that happens in the whole month of June and is inspired by the so called "caipira" (kind of like redneck, but not so pejorative in this sense) culture. In this party there are some traditional foods (pamonha, quentão, vinhora quente, etc.) and games (quadrilha dance, a "marriage", and some other things).
