"When the radical islamists that are currently occupying the city of Timbuktu, discover that Amadeus has been murdered, they investigate and quickly discover that Kidane is the murderer. His punishment is death. On the day of his execution, Satima and their daughter show up. Kidane runs to her when he sees her, but the radical Islamists mistake it for running away and shoot him, killing Satima as well. The movie ends with the radical islamists chasing Satima and Kidane’s daughter though the desert."
