Can I say the ice cream is melting down, lick it off ?
- English (US)
Just say: "The ice cream is melting." ('Down' isn't needed.)
You can tell someone "Your ice cream is melting, lick it off of the cone before it gets on your hand."
Or "Lick it up!" (when you are talking about the melted ice cream*).
