What does ‘time telling’ and “clock building.” mean?
Q1:“Having a great idea or being a charismatic visionary leader is ‘time telling’; building a company that can prosper far beyond the presence of any single leader and through multiple product life cycles is “clock building.”

Time telling = when a company just focuses on one small part of what makes a company great (like an idea for the best product or deciding what makes a great leader)
Clock building = when a company takes a step back and looks at the bigger picture and determines what type of company culture and processes to build to lead the company to success in the years to come.

Time telling is when someone tells you what time it is.
Clock building is apparently when someone builds a clock.
